Prana Flow evolved from the Shiva Rea Samudra School of Global Living, and is an energetic and wholistic approach to vinyasa flow.  Vinyasa is the linking of one asana to another, embodying movement, breath and life at a cellular level…but more than that, it is one that awakens and sustains consciousness. Sri Krishnamacharya destined it as “any cycle with a beginning, middle or end, the intelligent unfolding of a sequence in practice, life or nature.” Described as an evolutionary flow, Prana Flow is like a wave which rises, crests and releases on the shore linking each movement in a methodical, yet creative way and includes tantra, sacred arts, bhakti, ayurvedic living, and somatics. Unique to Prana Flow are the evolutionary Namaskars which weave with the fluctuating times ;  moving with the tide of the natural flow of energy; aware of the natural momentum of life ; including  times of the day, days of the week, seasons and years ; calling all  parts of the human existence into wholeness as the fullness of consciousness inherent in us is embodied.

Yoga Trance Dance is a free form exploration of yoga, dance, and meditation, in which you will experience  the expression and  liberation of  the creative life force within dance, cultivating embodied freedom. Trance Dance starts with creative flow yoga,  evolving into ecstatic dance, ending with chants  and meditation.

Debra has studied over 650 hours with Shiva Rea in LA’s Yoga Community. She will be offering classes and workshops in both Prana Flow and Trance Dance nationally.
